Wow! First it was #4, now The Dark Knight is on the first position on IMDB's list of top 250 movies. I made a screenshot.

The wait is over!!!

The Dark Knight is finally out! Unfortunately, I won't be shown in cinemas in my country, so I'm not sure when I'll see one of the most waited movies in my life.

Until then, I'll post other stuff related to The Dark Knight. So, Waiting For The Dark Knight, is now a The Dark Knight fan-blog.

There will be a design change as well, new poll (the old one is almost done), so you'll have to wait and see.

Viral Harvey Dent interview

Here's a Harvey Dent video published on The Dark Night viral site, Gotham Tonight.

On the next episode of Gotham Tonight.

Celebrated journalist Mike Engel sits down with the "White Knight" of Gotham City - District Attorney Harvey Dent. Dent defends controversial crime-fighter Batman, and says they've "benefited the entire city."

Dent takes calls from viewers on Jonathan Crane and fears of a new outbreak of Fear Toxin, and confronts a GPD police officer angry over Dent's prosecution of corrupt cops. And Engel asks the questions everybody's been talking about - is Harvey Dent dating Assistant District Attorney Rachel Dawes? The episode ends with the breaking news that the Gotham National Bank has been hit by robbers who made away with 68 million dollars from the vault.

Gotham Knight and Batman: The Movie DVDs

Some new DVDs for collectors:

BATMAN: GOTHAM KNIGHT

(Available as single-disc and 2-Disc Special Editions)
What The Animatrix did for The Matrix, Gotham Knight does for Nolan’s Batman series. This straight-to-DVD anthology collects six animated segments, each with their own unique Japanese anime style, and acts as a segway of sorts from Batman Begins to The Dark Knight. The quality of the shorts are varied, with specific ones noticeably excelling in animation, story, and the amount they add to the Batman mythology, while others are a little more dull and feel essentially like filler. Overall though, there’s still enough here to appeal to die-hard and even casual fans. (That is, as long as you know what you’re in for.)
Blu-ray? Yes.
Notable Extras: The 2-disc set includes a sneak peek at Wonder Woman, an audio commentary, a documentary about Batman’s villains, a documentary about Bob Kane and the creation of Batman, and four episodes from Batman: The Animated Series.

BATMAN: THE MOVIE (1996) on Blue-ray

Directed by Leslie H. Martinson
Starring Adam West, Burt Ward, Lee Meriwether, Cesar Romero, Burgess Meredith
Fox Home Video
Release Date: July 1, 2008

At this point in time, there is little I can say about the film itself that has not been said countless times before by others. This cult-classic film is the very definition of camp. It brought together four legendary villains in a scheme so absurd it could only be foiled by the combined efforts of Adam West and Burt Ward as the dynamic duo. Shark repellant spray, dehydrating the “entire” United Nations, and “some days you just can’t get rid of bomb.” At this point most already know if they love it or hate it. The real question is, is it worth repurchasing in “high-def”?

Though the idea of seeing the film on Blu-Ray may sound promising, the film really does not benefit from a 1080p transfer. The special effects are not exactly cutting edge and while the colors do really pop off the screen, it’s more likely due to their blatant lack of realism. In fact, when viewed in contrast of one bonus feature that allows a pop-up map of the Hollywood area to show where every scene of the movie was filmed, the unimpressive video quality is even more apparent. However, you can see more details in the mustache Cesar Romero refused to shave and instead painted white for his role as The Joker.

Waiting, while waiting for... (part one)

Hey everybody! I know it's been a while, but I've been busy. Anyway, there aren't many news on "The Dark Knight". So, we need the find a temporary fun, right? I'm sure many of the Batman's fans are also comic book/hero fans, and are probably excited by the other comic book movies coming out this year.

Let's make a short preview of what's coming in 2008:

What's with it: Not exactly a sequel to the 2003 Hulk, but it can be considered as a re-boot.

Plot: Bruce Banner is on the run from the United States Army and General "Thunderbolt" Ross, trying to avoid capture long enough to cure the condition that turns him into the Hulk. Meanwhile, a soldier named Emil Blonsky repeats the accident that gave Banner his powers, but as he is unable to change back to human form, he blames Banner and seeks his revenge

Who's in it: Edward Norton, Liv Tyler, Tim Roth and William Hurt

Director: Louis Leterrier

2) The Punisher: War Zone

What's with it: Sequel to the first one from 2004, but too bad it doesn't have Tomas Jane. It could be worse than the first one, which I liked.

Plot: Waging his one-man war on the world of organized crime, ruthless vigilante-hero Frank Castle sets his sights on overeager mob boss Billy Russoti. After Russoti is left horribly disfigured by Castle, he sets out for vengeance under his new alias: Jigsaw. With the "Punisher Task Force" hot on his trail and the FBI unable to take Jigsaw in, Frank must stand up to the formidable army that Jigsaw has recruited before more of his evil deeds go unpunished.

Who's in it: Ray Stevenson as The Punisher.

Director: Lexi Alexander

3) Iron Man

What's with it: For the first time, Iron man on the big screen!!!

Plot: Weapons designer Tony Stark is in Afghanistan to introduce his new missile design to the Air Force until the unit he is traveling with is attacked and Stark is taken hostage. Injured by shrapnel embedded near his heart, his captors order him to assemble a missile for them, giving him access to a workshop. He puts his creativity to use by assembling a bulletproof set of power armor, complete with pacemaker and flamethrowers, and uses it to free himself.

Who's in it:
Robert Downey Jr. as Tony Stark / Iron Man

Director: Jon Favreau
